Truth be told however the business side of Snap Geek Photography never grew big enough to meet any of my goals for being successful which leaves a bad taste in my mouth about continuing to call it a business.

So I’ve come to a very important conclusion which has me dissolving the business side of my photography and going back to continuing photography as a hobby. I enjoy the idea of having photography as a hobby more because it puts less pressure on me and honestly, I really enjoyed photography MORE as a hobby than a businessman.

This decision likely leaves my viewers and previous customers with a few questions which I thought of and answered below.

I admit, I didn’t spend much time focusing on my business in 2019 as my focus was diverted elsewhere. However, now it’s a fresh year so fresh new beginnings.

My business goals for 2020 are:

• Focus on building a stronger brand.
• Speed up my editing workflow.
• Advertise & get my name out there.
• Find my niche as opposed to being a generalist photographer.
• Plan new & exciting TFP shoots from my concept list.
• Blog more! Yes, I plan to actually use this blog more.

My Personal goals for 2020 are:

• Start exercising & working out.
• Complete a 52 week photo project.
• Focus less on other websites.
• Spend a bit more time with my family.
• Delete Facebook.

I was at Shutterfest 18 last year and I’m planning to attend Shutterfest 19 this year. If you don’t know what shutterfest is I explained it in this post from last year.

This year I’m trying to plan ahead so I’m looking for models who are interested in doing after hour shoots in St Louis MO at Shutterfest 19.

I’ll be in the area starting on April 22 and I plan to leave sometime April 25th so I can do shoots anytime between April 22 (afternoon) through April 25 (morning) before I leave on the 25th around noon.

Over the next week or so you may see a couple new blog posts here with some sample photos from several photo shoots that I have already shot this year in 2019.

I plan to use something called IFTTT.COM to automatic publish my posts from snapgeek.com to my Facebook page & my Twitter profile so we will see how well that works out.

1. The model will be asked to sign a release form prior to the shoot. If the model refuses to sign then the photo shoot will not proceed.
2. The photographer will provide final images to model with watermarks. Images provided without watermarks will be subject to a fee.
3. I ask that models share the final images they like on their modeling profiles on: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc and tag Snap Geek Photography LLC in said post.
   1. Doing so will help promote and fund me to continue to offer TFP sessions in the future.
   2. Models that fail to meet this requirement might not get the chance to work with me in the future.
4. The photographer will tag the model in posts posted on social media provided he knows the models social media profiles.
