Welcome visitors, customers and potential customers to my blog here at Snap Geek!
I first want to thank you for visiting my website and checking out all the hard work I have put into this website and my company. Please, take a moment to read this post & look around the website to take in all the beauty I have captured in my photographs and will continue to do so as long as I’m here on planet earth.
Secondly I want to take a moment to explain the purpose of this blog to you so you aren’t left in the dark.
I created this blog as a place where I can write posts regarding company news, I might review products, some posts are about my photo shoots, and sometimes I may get a bit intimate and write about personal blog posts.
Now please enjoy the website and please book me for your next photo shoot.
I will be taking a vacation starting on August 9th so I won’t be booking any photography appointments until after the 20th of August. Thank you for your understanding!

Looking for a couple models for some summer bikini shoots. The best shots will be submitted to a magazine for publication which may further kick start your modeling career if published. The sooner we shoot the photos the better chances you will be published this summer in a magazine. Please contact me to discuss details!
Up until May 25th 2018 I was using the host Alpha Racks to host this website using one of their VPS servers, but then the unthinkable happened! The node that was running my vps server here at Snap Geek Photography LLC went down causing major disruption to this website. At some point during the downtime the folks at Alpha Racks took it upon themselves (without permission) to migrate my VPS server to a different node. Upon them doing so they managed to trash the entire VPS server and rendered it useless, I was later told that I need to rebuild the whole server which would cause total data loss.
Like any other person I complained about this and demanded answers as to why they would move it to begin with but heard nothing back but silence. I stated to them that I was planning to cancel my 7 vps servers I had with them unless I got some answers and again I was met by silence.
I ended up restoring the website using a backup I had from May 8th, 2018 to a new vps server with a new host. I was able to recover at least 90% of my content here but this did result in some data loss. A few days later Alpha Racks contacted me to tell me they fixed their mess up and when I went back into the old server to recover data I quickly discovered that the mysql databases were corrupt and beyond repair.
Long story short, Never trust your data to inexperienced cheap hosting providers and make sure you take frequent backups!
I’m giving away a free 1 hour photo shoot to a lucky winner! Only catch is I’ll only drive within 50 miles of Centerville IA to meet you for the shoot.
Winner will be announced May 31st on our Facebook page! If this goes well I may run a similar promotion on Twitter or Instagram. So what are you waiting for?
Becca Murphy is back but this time for a newborn photo shoot after her baby Greyson Shaull was just born a few days prior to this shoot! I love a lot of these photos but I do regret not getting more of Greyson with the fireman gear I brought to the shoot. Never the less as always Becca was fun to work with and we got some great shots!
Han Wan contacted me by phone to schedule a photo shoot to celebrate her upcoming birthday. I got to know her briefly and learned that she went to school for 6 years at MUM University in Fairfield IA and was just getting ready to head back to Hong Kong for a little while. She stated she would come back to Fairfield, IA from time to time as she really enjoyed it here.
The idea with the balloons was entirely hers and she used 6 26″ balloons as props. This was a very fun shoot and Han was fun and energetic to work with.
I posted on Facebook one day looking for models who wanted to model for me in the abandoned Apollo school in Burlington IA before they remodel it into condos. Allison saw my post and decided she would like to model for me at this school. We had a blast exploring and taking different photos in this space. We both had wish we brought some makeup or some more spooky items after we got to exploring more though. Anyways here’s a few of those photos from that shoot!
Becca Murphy was referred to me by her sister Allison Murphy who I have shot photos of before. Allison decided to give Becca Murphy a little gift and pay for some photos for her sister. This is just one of the two sessions I had with Becca Murphy. Becca was fun and easy to work with and listens well to instructions. We had a lot of fun and I’m glad she loved her photos we took together. Below are just a few of the photos we took that day.
My friend Hal and I were at ShutterFest 2018 when Hal happened to meet America at the bar while we were looking for models to shoot photos of that evening & she decided that she would model for us in the hotel room and it would be Boudoir because that’s the only type of outfits she had with her at the time. The funny fact is that she wasn’t even there for ShutterFest but rather a random person who walked in off the street.
